Return & Refund Policy – TrailPod Outfitters
At TrailPod Outfitters, we stand behind the quality of our products and partner with trusted OEM manufacturers. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and warranties.
1. Returns Eligibility
You may request a return within 7 days of delivery or collection provided that:
- The item is unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
- The product is in resalable condition
- Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) is provided
Non-returnable items include:
- Installed or used products
- Custom-built or made-to-order items
- Clearance or sale items (unless defective)
- Electrical components once opened, unless faulty
2. Change of Mind Returns
If you no longer want the product:
- A handling/restocking fee of up to 15% may apply
- Courier costs are non-refundable
- Return shipping is at the customer’s expense
- Refunds are processed once goods are inspected and approved
3. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide photos of the item and packaging
- We will arrange replacement, repair, or refund at no cost to you
4. OEM Manufacturer Warranties
Many products sold by TrailPod Outfitters are covered by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) warranties, which vary by brand.
- Warranty periods and terms are determined by the manufacturer
- Warranty claims may require inspection, repair, or replacement via the OEM supplier
- TrailPod will assist in facilitating warranty claims, but final approval lies with the manufacturer
Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Roof racks, suspension kits, canopies, and accessories
- Electrical and refrigeration units
Important:Warranties typically do not cover:
- Incorrect installation or misuse
- Wear and tear
- Off-road damage beyond intended use
5. Faulty Products (Consumer Protection Act – South Africa)
In line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA):
- Faulty items within 6 months of purchase may be repaired, replaced, or refunded
- After 6 months, repairs may be offered in accordance with manufacturer warranty terms
6. Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after approval
- Refunds are issued via the original payment method
- Shipping and installation fees are non-refundable
7. Fitment & Installation Services
- Once a product has been installed, it is considered accepted and used
- Any issues post-installation will be handled under warranty, not return
